About Event

Conscientia is the annual Technical and Astronomy festival of Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology offering various challenging events in different fields of engineering and science including Aerospace Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering and Robotics.
Participants from across the country fight it out at this perfect platform to give one's technical knowledge a powerful boost and also bag prizes while at it. Mingle with the top minds of the country, listen to talks by eminent personalities, attend fabulous workshops at this one stop to improve yourself!

The four day affair encompasses a plethora of events ranging from Aerospace(Air Strike, Tech Flight, Prakshepan), Mechanical (Junkyard Wars, Contraptions,Machinist,Screwed,Hydranoid, CAD, Hangover), Electronics(Bots up, Line Follower, Salilsthalchar, LCD, Circuiter, Electromania, Tarang), Astronomy(Cosmic Clash,Astro ABC, Night Sky Hunt, Astro Reflections), Online Events (Webbed (Online Treasure Hunt),C^3(C-programming contest), Mathematrix, Astronomia, Mobius Strip) and much more!

How to reach Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology IIST, Thiruvananthapuram

Closest Airport - Trivandrum Internation Airport ,Closest Railway Station - Trivandrum Central Railway Station
From the Central Bus Station, Thampanoor (in front of Thiruvananthapuram Railway Station) take a bus to Vithura or Valiamala. Alight at 16th Mile Stone / ISRO Junction / Pathinaaram Kallu Stop. Follow sign boards to reach IIST campus. Last bus to Vithura from the Central Bus Station is around 9:30 p.m.
Alternatively, board a bus from Thampanoor or East Fort Bus Station (around 1 km from Thampanoor) to Nedumangadu. From Nedumangadu, frequent buses are available for ISRO junction. Auto rickshaws are also available from Nedumangadu to IIST (this would cost anywhere between Rs. 50 – 100).
It may take a little more than an hour to reach IIST from Thiruvananthapuram city under normal traffic conditions.
Bus fare would be approximately Rs.20 per person from Thampanoor to IIST.
Prepaid autos and taxis are available from the Central Railway Station (approx Rs. 300 for an auto and Rs.600 for a taxi).
Route to be followed: Thampanoor/Central Railway station or East Fort – Kowdiar – Peroorkada – Nedumangad – Karipoor - ISRO Junction – IIST.
From the Airport it would be advisable to reach East Fort or Thampanoor and then follow the information given above for buses.
Prepaid Taxis are available at the Airport and can be availed.
